RD “Doc” Plato
Dr. RD Plato, Ph.D. is the Founder and President of The Plato Group. His business philosophy is perfectly reflected in the company’s motto, Semper Praesens – Always Present, and his goal is for this firm to constantly embody that motto for our clients.
After a career serving our country in military and para-military roles, Dr. Plato earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a Master of Divinity prior to completing his post-graduate degree in sociology. He has relied upon his combat experience, leadership training, and education to guide The Plato Group on a successful course of continuing to serve our country by supporting the missions of various government agencies.
Dr. Plato, an enrolled member by blood of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, serves on the Leadership Council of the National Small Business Association, is a member of the Association of the US Army and the US Naval Institute, and is a 2019 graduate of the SBA Emerging Leaders program. In addition to these activities, he enjoys maintaining his proficiency as a marksman and improving his golf game.
Jennifer joined The Plato Group in 2017 as the Corporate Administrator. In addition to managing the comprehensive benefits and retirement package for all employees, she also attends all conferences and corporate meetings in an administrative capacity, and assists the executive team with implementing all policies and procedures for the staff. She also supports the business development and talent acquisition divisions with capture management and employee onboarding. Jennifer and Doc have five grown children and four grandchildren.
Melissa joined The Plato Group in 2018 as the Office Administrator. She works with the executive team on implementing all policies and procedures. She oversees the staff and makes sure the office runs smoothly and appropriately. Melissa enjoys spending time with her family and also hunting.
Daniel joined The Plato Group in 2018 as Director of Business Development. He is responsible for growing and maintaining the client base. Daniel has over 40 years’ experience of sales in the wholesale building materials business. He is a 1977 graduate of Baylor University and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. Dan and his wife have three grown children and four grandchildren. Dan stays busy with church activities, hunting, fishing and enjoying the grandchildren.
Melanie is the Director of Talent Acquisition, responsible for the sourcing of the best professional personnel for our clients. She knows that finding committed professionals who exceed our client’s expectations is what excellent recruiting means and she uses her extensive experience accomplish that goal.
Melanie holds an associate degree in Human Services and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wayland Baptist University.
Tim is the Operations Manager, responsible for overseeing the activities of our nationwide team of professionals. With a diverse, far-reaching workforce, Tim’s leadership is essential for employee engagement and connection.
After working with and managing his family’s dry-cleaning businesses, Tim returned to school and received a degree in construction science in 1982. He then returned to Tyler, TX.
After working for two years with two commercial construction companies, he founded Tim Quinn Construction and worked on many Commercial, Medical, Institutional and Industrial projects in the area.
In 2001 he was hired by C. Construction Company as the OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer and Safety Manager for the Southwest Division. In this capacity he oversaw safety plans and staff for Commercial, Institutional, Industrial, Medical and Military projects from the Western Carolinas to New Mexico.
Tim met Doc Plato in 2019 and with his previous background in construction, was offered the opportunity to bring his skills and knowledge to The Plato Group.
